These two molds are joined together and then molten nylon resins are injected into the cavity and into the space between molds. After injecting the molten nylon resins, it is allowed to congeal within the mold cavity. When ready, the first half of the cable tie is pulled from the mold followed by the second half then finally the space between the mold parts. When there are quality issues regarding the finished product, the mold cavity will be inspected for defects. If proven to have defects, that particular mold set is replaced by a nondefective one. If there are no defects on the mold cavity, other causes could be that there is an unclean machine mold pipe, a faulty pressure control of the machine, a recycled nylon or mixed plastic nylon were used or an inappropriate heat transfer from recycled matter.
